The Public Engagement Report included below summarizes the public involvement process throughout the design phase of the North Avenue Rising project, from November 2017 through October 2018. This covers meetings held as part of the North Avenue Rising project, community association meetings attended, outreach at bus stops and community events, information distributed door-to-door, and materials on display at libraries and other institutions. Over the course of the year, this included over 1,600 direct interactions, over 70 community events attended, and over 500 attendees at North Avenue Rising workshops.
The Roll Maps included below reflect the advertised design plans for both the Corridor and Penn North Intersection Sub-Projects of North Avenue Rising. These include some refinements from feedback to the designs that were presented at the September 2018 Public Meetings.

October 2018
The Roll Maps linked below were presented at Public Meeting on October 17 (Cecil Elementary School – 20th St.) and October 18 (Carver Vocational-Technical High School – Baker St.). These meetings were focused on getting feedback for the bicycle boulevard planned for 20th Street and the traffic calming planned for Baker Street. The Roll Maps posted here are the ones that were shown at the meetings, but adjustments are being made to the plans based on comments received at the meetings. It’s also worth noting that the 20th Street map includes older designs for North Avenue that do not reflect the current design.
